Stop telling people it’s hard to go into business ⛔⛔⛔
Remember last week, we talked about how you don’t need to get all your ducks in a row to start a business? That started because someone told my nephew it’s hard to go into business.
Stop telling people it’s hard to go into business. It’s never been easier to start a business.
You have access to the assembled knowledge of humanity, and you carry it around with you at all times. If there’s anything you want to know about starting a business, that answer is available to you. You can talk to business mentors for free on any one of dozens of networks and sites. You can hire coaches and consultants from almost anywhere on earth.
You have access to more freelancers, subcontractors and specialists than ever toiled for Silicon Valley startups. You can find them online and work with them virtually. You have access to services and apps that can take on huge parts of your business.
Everything a business needs can be accessed as a service or app now. Manufacturing, warehousing, shipping, marketing, printing, payroll, point of sale, appointment setting, product design. Everything you can imagine is available in new ways that are easy to access.
Starting a business is only hard if you start the hard way.
Keep shaping the future of your town,
Becky
PS – Your small town doesn’t have to be growing to be getting better. That’s the message of “shrink smart” coming out of Iowa State University. Thought you might like it, too.
